REVOLUTIONARY FOCUSED PAIN RELIEVING THERAPY
dry Needling is a technique used by healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists that uses a singular use thin sterile needle inserted into muscles, ligaments, tendons, fascia, and other connective tissue to reduce pain and improve movement.
How It Works
Dry needling works in a multitude of ways. First and foremost, it releases myofascial tissue from that "tightness" feeling as it improves blood flow by increasing circulation by the damaged tissue which results in increased oxygen flow and nutrients to that area. Furthermore, dry needling reduces pain sensitivity by stimulating the nervous system leading to improving connection between the brain and the body. Finally, dry needling can be used to facilitate inhibited muscles or decreases overactive muscles especially when combined with corrective exercises from our physical therapists.
